Dorothy Croft Trust
for Young Musicians
The Dorothy Croft Trust for Young Musicians is a Charitable Trust (Registered Charity No: 1141137) founded by Dona Lee Croft in memory of the career of her mother, a dedicated teacher who produced many professional violinists from her studio.
The Trust was created in 2011 and provides crucial financial assistance to talented young musicians aged between 17 and 25 to further their professional development. This may mean contributing towards the cost of lessons, helping to pay for short music courses, masterclasses, performance courses, travel funds for competitions, scores, music or books - indeed many of the smaller items connected with the cost of an education in classical music that are not covered by other charities (see Our Mission below).
Everyone associated with the Trust works on a voluntary basis, and so the vast majority of our funds are put to work supporting the development of talented, young classical musicians, rather than supporting our administrative structure.
